Female: 10-under
Sarah Kemp - 7 Sarah is a second year swimmer who has a great enthusiasm for swimming. She is doing a great job in her freestyle and backstroke technique, and has also perfected her breaststroke (quite an accomplishment for a 7-year-old!). In Saturday's meet, she did 3 personal best times, improving by a total of 6 seconds in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke!!!
Male: 10-under
Matthew Poltorak - 10 Matthew is new swimmer who has shown amazing improvement since the season began. He is always willing to do whatever the coaches ask and as already accomplished doing a legal breaststroke! His hard work resulted in three great races on Saturday where he took off over 4 seconds in freestyle, 5 in backstroke and another 5 in breaststroke – all just since time trials!!
Female: 11 - over
Jessica Smith - 13 Jessica is a new swimmer on the team this year who has made great improvement in a very short time. She works hard in practice and has even been seen doing extra work on learning flip turns on her own time. Jessica did best times in her two individual events at our first meet and gave her winning relay team a great head start as lead-off swimmer!!
Male: 11 - over
Peter Valavanis - 17 Peter is a veteran senior Wahoo swimmer who is always consistent in practice and dependable at meets. He swam two personal best times on Saturday, including a 2.5 second improvement in 100 freestyle, resulting in a 3rd place finish! He also swam a personal best lead-off split in the 15-18 relay, gaining a sizable lead on South Carroll for his team which won 1st place!

Female: 10-under
Grace Meissner - 6 Grace is a second-year swimmer who swims with incredible "grace" for a six-year-old. She has quickly learned all 4 strokes and showed off her butterfly in a meet for the first time last Saturday. She also improved her freestyle by nearly 7 seconds and placed third, and shaved another 4 seconds off of her backstroke to win first place!!

Joseph Roschella - 10 Joseph is a veteran Wahoo swimmer with great determination whenever he's in the pool. He had a great meet against Andover with three very exciting first place finishes, each of them by fractions of a second! All three races resulted in new personal best times for Joseph as well!!!
Female: 11 - over
Amanda Baldwin - 14 Amanda has been a Wahoo swimmer for several summers and always displays a great attitude in both practice and at meets. Her efforts paid off in our second meet where she scored two third place finishes and swam a personal best relay split. She also improved her 100 IM time by nearly 5 seconds and took off more than a second in 50 breaststroke!!
Male: 11 - over
James Sirenne - 11 James is a new swimmer this year who has come a long way in just a few short weeks as a first-time swimmer. He has improved significantly in both freestyle and backstroke, and has quickly learned breaststroke as well! Last Saturday he swam personal best times in all three of his events, improving by 11 seconds in 50 free, 16 seconds in backstroke and almost 6 seconds in breaststroke!!

Female: 10-under
Abigail Jones - 7 Abigail is new to the swim team this summer and has worked hard to improve all her strokes. She had a great meet at Hammond Park, doing personal best times in all three of her events. She took off 3 seconds in freestyle and nearly 3 more in backstroke. She also shaved off an amazing 11 seconds in butterfly after learning this difficult stroke just a few weeks ago!!

Ethan Welsh - 10 Ethan is a veteran Wahoo swimmer who is very dedicated with excellent practice habits. This week he even took the initiative to swim in two practice groups each day! His efforts paid off when he swam 3 best times on Saturday, shaving off 3 seconds in breaststroke, almost 2 in fly and a huge 9 seconds in 100 IM!!
Female: 11 - over
Lanie Swanhart - 15 Lanie has been on our team for many summers and has developed excellent technique in all of her strokes. She displayed perfectly on Saturday how to finish a race strong into the wall, touching out an opponent by just a tenth of a second in 100 free! This resulted in a personal best by nearly 3 seconds, and in her 100 IM she improved by another 2 seconds!!
Male: 11 - over
Brendan Caffey - 14 Brendan is second-year Wahoo swimmer who had three great swims at Hammond Park. He swam more than 5 seconds faster in 100 free, took off another second in 50 breaststroke and had a great 50 on the relay. His consistent practice attendance has helped him come a long way in just two seasons on swim team!!
